Jackson Clinic Announces Addition of Nephrologist

Dr. Syed M. Mohsin Raza

JACKSON - The Jackson Clinic recently added Dr. Syed M. Mohsin Raza to their Nephrology Department. Dr. Raza joins Dr. Victor C. Nwazue, Dr. Chima O. Oleru, and Dr. Tracy Townes-Bougard. The Nephrology Department is located at 700 West Forest Avenue. Dr. Raza received his Doctor of Medicine degree from King Edward Medical College, Pakistan. He completed his Residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN. In addition, he has completed a Nephrology Fellowship at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. Dr. Raza is Board Certified, American Board of Nephrology and American Board of Internal Medicine.

Nephrologists treat medical diseases of the kidneys and all associated body parts, particularly those leading to kidney failure, with dialysis and kidney transplants. Most diseases affecting the kidney are not limited to the organ itself, but are systemic disorders. Nephrology concerns itself with the diagnosis of kidney disease and its treatment. Nephrologists also provide expert care of electrolyte disorders and hypertension.
