JACKSON - Jennifer Byrd, PharmD, BCACP, of Jackson was installed as the 2016-2017 Chair of the Tennessee Society of Pharmacists (TSP), a society of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA), at the 129th TPA Summer Meeting in July in Point Clear, Alabama. Byrd will serve a one-year term as Chair of TSP and will sit on the TPA Board of Directors.
Byrd is an assistant professor at Union University School of Pharmacy in Jackson. She received her PharmD degree from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 2010, and completed her Post Graduate Year 1 Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2011.
Byrd is a co-sponsor of the Union University School of Pharmacy Chapter of Student College of Clinical Pharmacy, and also works at the Ambulatory Care practice site at The Jackson Clinic.
Dr. Byrd is an active member of TPA, currently serves on the TPA ad hoc Ambulatory Care/Collaborative Practice Committee, and has served as a TSP Delegate on numerous occasions.
