HUMBOLDT - Tennova Healthcare welcomes, Christopher Cummins, MD, and R. Louis Murphy, MD, to the medical staff. The family medicine physicians are seeing patients at their medical practice at Tennova Family Medicine-Humboldt, and will offer same-day appointments.
Dr. Cummins and Murphy provide comprehensive care for men, women, and children. They offer annual exams, sick visits, school and sports physicals, and minor skin procedures. The clinic is also able to perform limited diagnostic testing including x-ray, EKG and bone density.
Dr. Cummins is board certified in medical technology and board eligible in family medicine. He is also specially trained to offer support for minor skin problems and detecting skin cancers; walk-ins are welcome.
Dr. Cummins earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine with clinical rotations at the University of Mississippi and Louisiana State University. He is an alumnus of the medical center at the University of Mississippi and he completed his residency at East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Murphy is uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive care for the entire family as well. His longevity as a physician in the Humboldt area will continue with Tennova Family Practice. He is accepting new patients on a limited basis. He is board certified in Family Medicine and earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Francis Hospital, both in Memphis, TN.
