Jackson —West Tennessee Healthcare President and CEO Bobby Arnold has been honored by the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) with the Meritorious Service Award for a Chief Executive Officer.
Meritorious service awards recognize leadership and service by individuals in support of their hospitals and health systems. The award was presented during the Tennessee Hospital Association’s 77th Annual Meeting. Several members of West Tennessee Healthcare’s leadership team attended the event to surprise Arnold when he received the recognition.
Information provided during the THA’s award recognition says Arnold was honored for his growth and development of West Tennessee Healthcare for the past 30 years:
Arnold’s leadership has guided West Tennessee Healthcare through challenging times, including changing patient and payer expectations and declining reimbursement. Arnold is always steadfastly committed to the health system’s patients, employees and physicians, as well as improving the health and well-being of the communities it serves. He has guided the organization through challenging times, including changing patient and payer expectations and declining reimbursement. His vision for a healthier West Tennessee region has resulted in numerous service expansions, including the LIFT Wellness Center, the Alice and Carl Kirkland Cancer Center and a new freestanding rehabilitation hospital. He has guided the operation of the health system into West Tennessee’s largest employer and helped ensure high quality healthcare services were available for nearly 500,000 residents in the region.
Arnold says he is honored by the recognition but credits others for his successes.
