COVINGTON - David Conner, MD, has been appointed medical director of emergency medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton.

In his role, he will promote the effective delivery of emergency services at the hospital's emergency department, which treats approximately 20,000 patients per year.

Conner graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis with a bachelor of science degree in biology. A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, he completed his residency in emergency medicine at Yale University.

Stanley Thompson, MD, regional medical director of TeamHealth emergency medicine said that Conner is an impeccable physician and coupled with his leadership skills, was the obvious choice to fill the medical director opening.
