PARIS - Henry County Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Brett Marshall, MHA, ACHE to the position of Director of Human Resources. Marshall joined the team at HCMC in mid-April 2017 and is already seen as an advocate for partners at HCMC.
Marshall comes to HCMC from Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center/Toppenish Hospital in Yakima, Washington where he served as the Human Resources Director/Talent Acquisition. He also served as the Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition for Cypress Health Care in Nashville, TN as well as Lake Area Medical Center, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Originally from St. Louis, MO, Marshall received his undergraduate degree from St. Louis University and a master's in Health Administration from Grand Canyon University. He has been in healthcare for 18 years and most enjoys being able to serve the communities he lives in.
Marshall is married to Alison, and has three children:Ridgley (age 7), Rowan (age 12) and Ransom (age 13).In his spare time, Marshall enjoys hiking, climbing, and fishing and has 4 dogs.He also serves for the Marshall Legacy Institute, a Virginia-based 501(c)3 nonprofit that was formed in 1997 to extend the vision of Nobel Peace Laureate George C. Marshall by alleviating suffering and promoting hope, growth, and stability in war-torn countries.For many nations, a primary obstacle to achieving sustainable progress is the deadly legacy of landmines, the relics of armed conflicts that often ended long ago.Programs like the Mine Detection Dog Partnership Program (MDDPP), provides Mine Detection Dogs (MDDs) to accelerate the pace of landmine clearance operations.Marshall began as a Corpsman with the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force and finished with the 4th Marine Division, so the Marshall Legacy Institute is near and dear to his heart.
